Appointed Pastor

Amie Brodie

Amie is an appointed clergy for The Farmhouse by the Maumee Watershed District of the United Methodist Church’s West Ohio Conference. Specifically, Amie oversees all formational practices and spaces in the community and she is a certain presence in everything happening at The Farmhouse.

“What are you going to do with your one wild and precious life?”

This quote by Mary Oliver is Amie’s guiding principle. Her life has been one of seeking and self-education, hoping always to stumble toward wisdom.

Her family is her husband Bruce and three dogs; she also has two older sisters. Amie lives in Oregon OH, where she does dog grooming and practices the art of homesteading on her land. She and her husband have a bluegrass/Americana band called Wolf Creek Risin’, and she sings and plays fiddle. Amie loves reading, writing, music, dogs, and talking about ideas. This is by necessity a partial list.

She hopes to live in such a way that her obituary will take up an entire page. It is her dream to see The Farmhouse grow and weather strong, a sturdy community in right relationship with each other, the neighbors, and the land.

“To make that happen is to spend my life well.”

Farmhouse Director

Tracy York

Tracy is a part-time staff member who oversees the enterprises, spaces, and events that make up The Farmhouse including our Market and Food Cooperative. Growing up in the Oak Openings area near Whitehouse, she has lived in the Evergreen area since 1984. Despite some youthful dreams of living in a big city, she fell in love with the wide-open spaces and farm fields of Fulton County and there is no place she'd rather be.

Tracy and her husband, Brian, are 1990 graduates of Evergreen and currently reside outside of Lyons, Ohio. They have three children; Dalton, Logan, and Hayden (affectionately known as her "mancubs").

Tracy has been significantly involved in Evergreen local schools for decades; from the Music Booster program to various athletic groups, Tracy has a constant volunteer presence in the community. Tracy has both a corporate and small business background and currently works as a Home Care Attendant. She has been heavily involved at The Farmhouse since first attending a Farmhouse Sabbath event in 2017. Just like the open spaces of the rural community, The Farmhouse quickly became a place she experienced belonging. Since then, she has dedicated tremendous energy to enhancing that belonging; believing that The Farmhouse is a church with its work boots on. As the Market Coordinator, Tracy hopes to practice that vision in a tangible, meaningful way.
